What is Upsala Kayak Experience?

Upsala Kayak Experience is a plunge into the heart of the Upsala Glacier, one of the most significant of Los Glaciares National Park, and the second largest in Argentina, located in El Calafate, Patagonia.

Covering almost 850 km, and reaching heights of over 60 meters above sea level, the Upsala Glacier is truly a sight to behold. We take you on an expedition of the Upsala Glacier in Lake Argentino, through towering icebergs, to offer you a glimpse of its great natural beauty.

Your adventure leads you up the Upsala Channel, where you will come within touching distance of Upsala’s icebergs. Being firmly immersed in nature, the Upsala Kayak Experience may also treat you with sights of the wildlife of Los Glaciares National Park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.

This experience is designed for all, whether or not you have kayaked before. Your safety is our priority, and our high-qualified, experienced guides ensure that you are well versed in the required safety procedures prior to setting off. You will also be furnished with the necessary equipment (dry suits, lifejackets, etc.) and rowing techniques to make your Upsala Kayak Experience a memorable one.
